Miller Lite Twin 75’s Kick Off Slinger Opener

(Slinger, WI) April 9, 2006 -
Slinger Super Speedway opens for the 60th consecutive year April 23,
2006 with the Miller Lite Twin 75’s. Late Models will headline the
event joined with the Midwest Modified and Midwest Sportsman
divisions. Gates open at Noon, time trials at 1:00 pm, and racing at
2:00 pm.
CTS Driver Erik Darnell the 2005 winner of Roush Racing and the
Discovery Channel “Driver X: Race for the Ride,” has recently
committed to the Miller Lite Twin 75’s Spring Opener. Erik is
currently the leading rookie in the truck series sitting 6th in the
championship point standings.
Richie Bickle and 2005 Miller Lite Nationals winner Nathan Haseleu
will also be on hand. Bickle has multiple NASCAR Craftsman Truck
series wins to go with his Slinger Speedway Track Championships and
Miller Lite Slinger Nationals Championships.
Three time defending Slinger Speedway Track Champion Brad “JJ”
Mueller along with past champions Lowell Bennett, Al Schill, Tony
Strupp and Conrad Morgan will also be on the card to take on the
best short track racers in the country.
Saturday April 22, 2006 fans will have the opportunity to view all
the divisions of competition for the 2006-racing season during the
annual practice day. The following divisions will practice by class:
Late Model, Midwest Modified, Midwest Sportsman, Thunderstocks,
Slinger Bees and Figure 8’s. General admission on practice day is
free.
