Wet Weather Delays Slinger Show!

June 27, 2004; Slinger, WI - Due to inclement weather in the area, the June 27th, activities at Slinger Super Speedway are cancelled. The Keith’s Marina Fireworks Extravaganza is rescheduled for Wednesday evening, June 30th.

The evening will be highlighted by an 85-lap late model feature and a full racing program in all divisions. Also, a huge aerial and ground fireworks display will take place. Spectator gates open at 4:45 with time trials at 5:15, and racing at 7pm.

Fans are reminded to hold onto their tickets and wristbands from June 27th as they will be able to redeem them on Wednesday June 30th for the rescheduled Keith’s Marina Fireworks Extravaganza.

Uptown Automotive presents the 4th of July Special at the Slinger Super Speedway

Slinger, WI (Spl.) – This Sunday night, Uptown Automotive will present the the 4th of July Special at the Slinger Super Speedway. The night will be highlighted by a 70-lap Late Model feature along with the first Slinger appearance of the Midwest Sportsman Championship Series. Also included is a full night of racing in all divisions including the Eldorado Trailer Sales Midwest Modifieds, Slinger Bees, Thunderstocks, Figure 8’s, Port A John Speedway Guest Cars, Spectator Eliminators at the new Midwest Sportsman division. In addition to the on track action, the night will feature a large ground and aerial fireworks display and free license plate holders will be handed out to the first adults through the gate while supplies last. The rain date for the 4th of July Special is Monday, July 5th.

Regular Sunday night racing action at Slinger Super Speedway runs through September 19, 2004. In addition, the track will host the 25th Annual Miller Lite Nationals on Tuesday night, July 13th. The show will feature NASCAR Nextel Cup Series drivers Matt Kenseth and Scott Wimmer. NASCAR Busch Series driver Kyle Busch has just been announced to race in the event and other drivers include Busch Series driver Johnny Sauter and Craftsman Truck Series driver Chris Wimmer. Defending Miller Lite Nationals Champion Rich Bickle will be back to defend his title and, Dick and Chuck Trickle will race against each other for the first time in their careers.
