By Cortney Owen

May 4, 2003; Slinger, WI - This Sunday night long-time track sponsor Bob Fish Pontiac, Buick, GMC in West Bend presents the annual Alan Kulwicki Memorial event at Slinger Super Speedway featuring a visit by the Midwest Sportsman Championship Series. The night will be highlighted by a 75-lap Late Model feature and competition will continue in the following Slinger Super Speedway divisions, Eldorado Trailer Sales Midwest Modifieds, Team Cruisers, Slinger Bees, Figure 8’s, Port A John Speedway Guest Cars and the Spectator Eliminators.

In addition to regular Sunday night on-track activities, competition at the world’s fastest quarter mile oval will include the new Midwest Sportsman Championship Series (MSCS). MSCS drivers will try their luck at navigating the high banks of Slinger Super Speedway in a 40-lap battle for the checkered flag. The series was originally scheduled to run at Slinger Super Speedway last Sunday night, but threatening weather forced the track to cancel activities and postpone round three of the MSCS until May 18th. The eight-race series includes competition at Slinger Super Speedway, Lake Geneva Raceway and Rockford Speedway in Illinois.

The Slinger Super Speedway Sunday night racing action, runs through September 21, 2003. Fans may test their driving ability in 2003 by renting one of the Port A John Speedway Guest Cars, which are still available for rental on May 18th.
