April 7, 2002; Slinger, WI --Slinger Super Speedway kicks off its 2002 racing season Sunday afternoon, April 21st, with Fox 6 presenting the Miller Lite Twin 75's Spring Opener. Big names to turn the ¼ mile oval include, current points leader tied for first in the NASCAR Truck Series Ted Musgrave, NASCAR Busch Grand National star Rich Bickle, a two-time Slinger Speedway track Champion with over 230 career short track main event victories, and American Speed Association standout Scott Hansen will be on hand to take on defending Slinger Track Champion Lowell Bennett, Six time track Champion, Conrad Morgan, Brad Mueller, Al Schill, and other Slinger Speedway hot shoes in twin 75 lap late model features. The Midwest Modified and Slinger Stinger divisions will also be in action. The pit area will open at 8am on the Season opener for all competitors. Advance tickets for the Miller Lite Twin 75's Spring Opener are available at Pioneer Plaza located at Highways 41 & 145 in Richfield and at the track office until 12 p.m. on Saturday, April 20th. Fans purchasing advance tickets can save $2 off the regular admission price. Children ages 9 and under will be admitted free when accompanied by an adult. Spectator gates open at Noon with time trials at 1 p.m. and racing action
set to begin at 2 p.m. Fans can also purchase all Season Passes at the track office, which
will save them approximately $84.00 for the whole season. Miller Lite Spring Opener and
Nationals are not included with Season Pass. The Rusty Wallace Special on June 11th will
be a special bonus offer for Season Pass holders along with regular spectators. |
