Opener Rescheduled!

21, 2002; Slinger, WI --Slinger Super
Speedway has rescheduled the Miller Lite Spring Opener due to forecast of inclement
weather predicted for Sunday April 21st and is reschedule for Sunday April 28th.
Fox 6 presents The Miller Lite Twin 75s Spring Opener will be
highlighted by two late model features, along with racing action in the Midwest Modifieds
and Slinger Stingers. Gates open at noon with time trials at 1 and racing to begin at 2pm.
Advance tickets for the Miller Lite Twin 75s Spring Opener are
available at Pioneer Plaza located at Highways 41 & 145 in Richfield and at the
track office until 12pm on Saturday, April 27th. Fans purchasing advance tickets can save
$2.00 off the regular admission price. Children ages 9 and under will be admitted free
when accompanied by an adult.
Fans will have the opportunity to see the Skyfox helicopter as it lands in the center of
the track to begin the Miller Lite Twin 75s. Fox celebrities will meet and greet fans at
the Skyfox in the center of the track. Fox 6 celebrities to appear include Joe LaBarbera,
Skyfox Pilot Todd Preston Rudie and, Jeff Frings. Fox 6 personalities will also have a
celebrity race off in the Speedway Guest cars.
Other big names to appear include, Wisconsins short track star Ted Musgrave who is
currently in 2nd in the NASCAR Truck Series, NASCAR Busch Grand National star Rich Bickle,
a two-time Slinger Speedway track Champion with over 230 career short track main event
victories, and American Speed Association standout Scott Hansen will be on hand to take on
defending Slinger Track Champion Lowell Bennett, and six time track Champion, Conrad
Morgan, plus Brad Mueller, Al Schill and other hot shoes in the 75 lap late model
features. The pit area will be open at 8am on the Season Opener for all competitors.
The Slinger Super Speedway is located a ¼ mile west of Hwy 41 on Hwy 144 in Slinger. For
