April 27, 2001; Slinger, WI - Current points leader in the American Speed Association points standings Butch Muller will be added to the headline of The Fox 6 Miller Lite Twin 75’s Spring Opener this Sunday afternoon at the Slinger Super Speedway along with ASA standout Scott Hansen and current defending track champion Lowell Bennett, six-time track champion Conrad Morgan, Brad Mueller, Al Schill and many more drivers will lead a full field of late model competitors as the 2001 season gets underway at the Slinger Super Speedway.

Slinger Super Speedway had to postpone its scheduled season opening event to this Sunday afternoon, April 29th because of steady rain showers and a forecast for continued rain. This weather also played a part in the return of NASCR Bush Grand Nationals star Rich Bickel who unfortunately at this time looks like he will not be able to compete in the Miller Lite Opener at the Slinger Super Speedway because of lack of air flights from California to Wisconsin.

The rescheduled Fox 6 presents the Miller Lite Twin 75's Spring Opener Sunday afternoon with twin 75 lap features for the late models along with action in the Midwest Modified, Slinger Stinger, and Figure 8 divisions. Along with a special Speedway Guest Car match race will take place between Fox 6 personalities. In addition to the on-track action, fans will receive free giveaways when they visit the Fox 6 table while supplies last.

AAL Jim Fischer Agency will also be kicking off their Benefit for the MACC Fund on Sunday where they will raise money for the MACC Fund to help children who have cancer along with one lucky fan that will win a Cash Drawing throughout the year. Fans could win up to $100.00 and help an exceptional cause for children.

Advance tickets for the Spring Opener are available at Pioneer Plaza located at Highway’s 41 & 45 in Richfield and at the track office until 12 Noon on April 28th or charge by phone at 262-644-5921. Fans purchasing advance tickets can save $2 off the regular admission price. Children ages 9 and under will be admitted free when accompanied by an adult.
