Cindy Peterson (#36) drives around Mike Egan (#89) for the win in the Late Model Semi.

John Zimmerman and David Prunty fought for the top spot early on in the race only to have Zimmerman hold Prunty off and gain a three car length lead. Al Schill, Wayne Freimund, and Lowell Bennett battled for the third spot until lap 24, when Cindy Peterson and Mike Egan tangled and collected Race McComb as he spun to avoid the two. Zimmerman once again lead the field to the restart as Lowell Bennett and Prunty race back and forth for second spot until Bennett moved around Prunty and charged at Zimmerman.

Zimmerman held off Bennett through lap traffic to claim the Mac Tools half way challenge although he was tapping on the bumper of the front runner. Bennett began to work on the inside of Zimmerman for the lead but was shut down by a lap car in the way. Bennett pushed up to the top grove with a slick move to hold his second spot and take the lead from Zimmerman with Prunty to follow behind.

Al Schill moves up to take on Zimmerman along with fast charging Eric Fransen to all battle for third place. With nine laps to go Prunty passes Bennett hard and high on the track to take over the lead on lap 71. Prunty charges out to a three car lead and out powers Bennett putting him in second spot while Al Schill wins the third place dual over Eric Fransen and Zimmerman.

Cindy Peterson took the 30 lap late model semi feature win over Mike Egan. Peterson took the lead after a restart on lap 11 following and incident in turn 1 involving Chad Barker and Chris Ratajczyk. Peterson and Eagan advanced to the feature event for there efforts.

Wes Biswell successfully won the late model consolation race and Dave Teske sped away with the Mac Tools Trophy dash win while Brad Mueller set fast time at 11.762 seconds.

Brian Holtz won the 30 lap modified feature over Steve Lurvey and the new comer Dan Jung. Holtz had everything going his way most of the event as he survived a caution at the half way mark involving five cars and pulled out to a six car length advantage only to see a late caution on lap 19 to bunch up the field.

Holtz pulled away from Lurvey as Dan Jung began to fight for second only to end up in third with Lenny Gallenberg and Dale prunty to follow. Jung also claimed a first place victory in the Eldorado Trailer Sales Fast Dash while Jeff Holtz walked away with a fast time of 12.527 seconds.

Starting from the pole position in the Stinger feature Kurt Brown pulled ahead until Nathan Fick and Joe DeStefano Sr. caught up working both sides of him. At lap ten the caution flew when contact between three cars sent the leader spinning to the infield from oil that was laid down on the track from another competitor.

DeStefano Sr. led the field to the restart as Paul Wagner muscles through lap traffic to get to DeStefano and passes him on the outer groove to take the lead. Roger Schmid won the third spot, with Bill Shavlick, and Pat McIntee to round out the top five. DeStefano also won the first 8 lap heat and Jay Bleskan won the second while Wagner set fast time at 13.424.

The twenty two field of the team cruisers was out run by the brothers of Darryl and Craig Adams and the event filled figure eight feature was snatched by Mike Newlin.

In other racing action the Speedway guest car race off was won by an E.H. Wolf Rep and Jim Schmittinger of Milwaukee won the Spectator Race.

The AAL Fan Challenge was won by eleven year old Tabitha Ziolkowski of Slinger who picked the winning Late Model feature driver and won the raffle.
