Al Schill Jr. Memorial rescheduled for Wednesday Night! By Weyer / Margetta

May 6, 2001; Slinger, WI - Steady rain showers that hit the Slinger Super Speedway shortly after qualifying was completed forced the postponement of the Al Schill Jr. Memorial 77 lap late model feature until Wednesday night, May 9th.

Al’s Auto Salvage, Champion Chicken, and Pro Power will present the Al Schill Jr. Memorial highlighted by the 77-lap late model feature and a full racing program in all seven divisions. The car the late Al Schill Jr. raced at Slinger will also be on display and Champion Chicken will give away gift certificates to a number of lucky fans.

Qualifying that was recorded on Sunday will be the order for the Wednesday races there for we will start racing at the scheduled time. Gates will open at 4:45 p.m. and racing will begin at 7:30 p.m. Fans who were in attendance at the Speedway Sunday night are encouraged to hold onto their ticket stubs and they will receive a new ticket Wednesday night. It is important that fans exchange their Sunday May 6th tickets for Wednesday night tickets, as special giveaways will take place throughout the evening including a pair of tickets to the E.H. Wolf & Sons Memorial Day Weekend Special on May 27th. Should the races be rained out on Wednesday, the second rain date for the event will be Sunday night, May 13th. In the event the second rain date has to be utilized, tickets from Wednesday night will be honored on May 13th.

Mother's Day Special set for Sunday at Slinger Super Speedway! By Weyer / Margetta

Special; Slinger, WI Slinger,Wis. -- This Sunday night, May 13, the Slinger Super Speedway will celebrate the Mother’s Day holiday with a full program of racing action.

The Mother’s Day Special will be highlighted by a 60 lap late model feature along with action in the Midwest Modified, Slinger Stinger street stock, Team Cruisers, Speedway Guest Cars, Spectator Races, and Figure 8 divisions. As part of the Mother’s Day celebration, all Mothers and Students will each receive $1 off the regular admission price. Also checkered flags will be given to kids ages 11 and under when they enter the speedway while supplies last.

Spectator gates open at 4:45 p.m. with time trials at 5:15 p.m. and racing starting at 7 p.m. The Slinger Super Speedway is located 1/4 mile West of Highway 41 on Highway 144 in Slinger.
