Slinger Speedway Ends 2001 and Sets up for 2002! By Weyer / Margetta

November 24, 2001; Slinger, WI -  Slinger Super Speedway will conclude there 2001season with their annual Awards banquet held on Saturday January 26, 2002 at the Washington County Fairgrounds. The night will include track champion’s cars on display along with honoring driver accomplishments from each division.

Registration will begin at 6pm with Dinner, Media, awards, prizes and a live band to be included in the evening’s agenda at the fairgrounds. Washington County Fair Park is located on Hwy 45 at the Pleasant Valley Road (Hwy PV) exit between Jackson and West Bend. WI.

Any one in attendance who would like to get a room at Hawthorn Inn and Suites may call to reserve your room at  (262) 677-1133. Conveniently located just minutes away from the fair park at highways 45& 60. Hawthorn accommodations are spacious, comfortable and ideal. Drivers and Members who have Track Memberships Cards will receive their invites in December. Race fans that plan on attending the Slinger Super Speedway Awards Banquet should call the PR Department at 262-628-7929 and reserve tickets to assure seating.
 
Drivers: Rules for each division will be ready in mid December, to obtain a copy of the rules send $5.00 per division to Slinger Speedway 2002 Rulebook 1639 Hwy 83 S. Hartford, WI 53027. Requests should include, return address and specify each division(s) inquiry.

Driver are reminded to register their car numbers with the track for the 2002 season, especially if they are new members or have changed divisions since the 2001 season. Drivers must call Wayne at 262-673-6335 to see if their number is available.

The 2002 season will be starting off with the practice day on Saturday, April 20th. Gates will open at noon, and admission will be free for all general seating spectators to enjoy. Come and see all the new drivers and cars for the 2002 season. On Sunday afternoon, April 21st, it’s The Miller Lite Twin 75’s Spring Opener to kick off the 2002 season. Gates open at noon with time trials at 1 and racing action set to begin at 2pm. Don’t forget to get a season pass early so you won’t miss out on the great benefits you could get.
