Rusty's parade rained out at Slinger!

June 13, 2000; Slinger, WI - Persistent rain showers forced the cancellation of the Gordie Boucher Ford of West Bend Rusty Wallace Special at the Slinger Super Speedway Tuesday night.

NASCAR Winston Cup star Rusty Wallace made an appearance at the track and took a "Polish Victory Lap" in his limo before spending time signing autographs with Slinger Speedway season ticket holders in the VIP Pavilion.

Those fans who hold Gordie Boucher tickets are encouraged to hold onto their tickets and they will be honored at a date later in the season currently being discussed between Gordie Boucher and the speedway.

This Sunday night, June 18th,  Time Warner presents Scout Night 2000 at the Slinger Super Speedway.  The night will be highlighted by an 80 lap late model feature along with a full racing program in the late models, Midwest Modifieds, Slinger Stinger street stocks, Team Cruisers, Speedway Guest Cars, Spectator Races, and Figure 8's. All scouts in attendance in uniform will be admitted FREE and kids 12 and under will be able to scramble for 7,000 nickels on the front stretch during intermission.

Spectator gates open at 4:45 p.m. with time trials at 5:15 p.m. and racing beginning at 7 p.m.  The Slinger Super Speedway is located at Hwy 144 and Hwy AA in Slinger.

Special; Slinger, WIThis Sunday night, June 18th, Time Warner presents Scout Night 2000 at the Slinger Super Speedway! The evening, will be highlighted by a 80 lap late model feature along with the Midwest Modifieds, Slinger Stinger Street Stocks, Figure 8's, Speedway guest cars, Team Cruisers division, and Spectator races on the Worlds fastest 1/4 mile oval.

The night will also include a 7,000 nickel scramble for kids 12 and under compliments of  Slinger Super Speedway, plus all scouts in uniform will be admitted free for Scout Night 2000.

Fans should hold onto their ticket stubs after entering the track, to be eligible for the special give-a-ways throughout the season including a T.V., Trip to Las Vegas, and a 2000 GMC Truck that will be drawn later in the season.
